Ode to Cecemel

When I was in Belgium...

Oops. Sorry. Didn’t mean to (see post below)!

Anyway. I asked for a hot chocolate at the hotel and became a bit alarmed when out came a can of refrigerated chocolate looking Yoo-Hoo drink type stuff. "When in Rome" I thought, or Belgium more like it. Anyway, it was heated and served to me in a glass mug with some gorgeous whipped cream and chocolates on the side. Simply wonderful, and not too chocolatey, where you get a tummy ache from the richness.

Nice.

On my way home, I saw Cecemel in the vending machine at the train station. It’s nice hot or cold. Imagine my happiness when I noticed it in Holland too, under the name of Cocomel. Life is sweet. Literally!

If only they had this stuff in the States.

Back From Vacation

I ended up doing Amsterdam and Delft in Holland, a day in Zurich, Switzerland on a layover, and Bruges, Belgium. I have to admit that I milked everyday for what it’s worth to the point that I was ready to leave, exhausted, after a week. Call it a working vacation I guess, because I’m no slouch when it comes to travel.

I’m not going to bore you with my vacation stories and pictures. You see, I love everyone’s travel stories, and I get super excited when someone breaks out the slide projector and waxes poetic about where they’ve visited. The only problem is that I’m not good at doing those things, and I feel that I’m boring everyone to tears. So, I simply offer up my ears. Travel stories are a one way street with me.

Keep in mind though that I might, however, sprinkle anecdotes of my trip throughout my future posts. Although I promise I won’t be one of those types of people that begin every sentence with, “Well, when I was in”, or “Well, when I visited”. Nope. Sorry. No can do my friend!
